AGRSS™ REGISTRATION PROGRAM NEARS MILESTONE

The Automotive Glass Replacement Safety Standards (AGRSS™ ) Council has announced that its list of registered shop now includes nearly 1000 locations. Just short of the first milestone in registrants, the announcement coincides with the Council's new focus on membership (see New Registered Company Development Committee Formed). The map below reflects the breakdown of registered AGRSS™ shops by state.

"Having nearly 1000 shops -985 locations to be exact--committing themselves to safety shows the dedication of the industry and is a positive statement of what's to come," said Debra Levy, chair of the AGRSS™ marketing committee. "It's particularly heartening to see there are AGRSS™ registered shops in every state of the union save two," she added. "Hawaii and New Mexico are the only states left without representation, and we expect that to change very shortly," she added.

The Automotive Glass Replacement Safety Standards Council, Inc., is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the safe replacement of auto glass. AGRSS™ was founded and is supported by companies in the auto glass replacement industry that keep safe installation as their primary goal.

AGRSS™ is an accredited American National Standards Institute (ANSI)-standards development organization. It has developed the world's only auto glass replacement safety standard, the AGRSS™ standard (ANSI/AGRSS™ 002-2002 Automotive Glass Replacement Safety Standard). The AGRSS™ Standard addresses procedures, education and product performance.
