AGSC Insurers’ CEU Course Approved in Ten States

The Auto Glass Safety Council™ (AGSC) will hold an Insurers’ CEU Forum for the insurance community on Wednesday, September 26, in San Antonio, Texas. The course has been approved by the states of Florida, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Ohio, South Carolina, Texas, Michigan and Virginia. The seminar provides education about auto glass safety and offers 3 CEU credits to participants.

AGSC Forms ADAS Committee to Address New Technology

In response to the importance of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) to the auto glass industry, the Auto Glass Safety Council™ (AGSC) has formed an ADAS Committee to lead its work in this area. The goals of this committee are to: collect and disseminate information about ADAS technology, best practices, legal, quality and other issues involving ADAS; and provide educational training, testing and to develop a certification program for calibration technicians.

The membership category, “Automotive Casualty Insurance Companies,” was designed for insurers that wish to show their support for AGSC and the important area of proper auto glass installations.

Countdown: Five Months Until Registration and Certification Programs Unite

The Auto Glass Safety Council™ (AGSC) is in the final stretch of the harmonization of its Registered Member Company program and its Certified Auto Glass Technician program. The programs will be joined together by the end of December 2018. This means that all Registered Member Companies will be required to have all of their auto glass replacement technicians certified by AGSC by December 31, 2018. New technicians of Registered Member Companies will be required to be AGSC-Certified within six months of their hire date.
