More than 30 insurance company officials and agents learned about auto glass safety at the recent Auto Glass Safety Council™’s (AGSC) Insurers’ CEU Forum held at Auto Glass Week™. The forum was held on October 3 in West Palm Beach, Fla., just before Auto Glass Week got underway and provided 3 CEU credits to participants.

The Auto Glass Safety Council™ (AGSC) offers a category of membership specifically for insurers. The membership category, “Automotive Casualty Insurance Companies,” was designed for insurers that wish to show their support for AGSC and the important area of proper auto glass installations.

AGSC Certified Techs Take Gold in 2017 Auto Glass Replacement Competition

The winners of the Pilkington Clear Advantage Auto Glass Technician Competition (AGTO) were named earlier this month in West Palm Beach, Fla., where Auto Glass Week™ was held. Leading the circle of winners were two AGSC Master Technicians and an AGSC Certified Technician. AGSC Certified Auto Glass Technicians must take an online certification exam consisting of 70 multiple choice questions. They must have knowledge in OSHA regulations, all types of auto glass replacement, NAGS and pattern-making for glass fabrication.

Dates and Location Announced for Auto Glass Week™ 2018

Auto Glass Week™ 2018 will be held Thursday – Saturday, September 27-29 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas. The host hotel is the Hyatt Regency San Antonio. The AGSC annual member meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 26. The event will include an Insurers’ CEU Forum hosted by the AGSC.
