The Auto Glass Safety Council (AGSC) educated more than 30 insurance company officials and agents at its recent Insurers’ CEU Forum held in early October at Auto Glass Week™. The forum was held on October 3 in West Palm Beach, Fla., just before Auto Glass Week got underway and provided 3 CEU credits to participants.

Paul Heinauer Honored with AGSC Award for Excellence in Auto Glass Safety
The Auto Glass Safety Council™ (AGSC) recently honored Paul Heinauer, president of Glasspro Inc. in Mt. Pleasant, S.C., with the Carl F. Tompkins Award for Excellence in Auto Glass Safety. Heinauer was honored for his long-time commitment to safety in the auto glass industry and his work with the AGSC. The award was presented at a ceremony in West Palm Beach, Fla., where Auto Glass Week™ 2017 was held earlier this month.

Welcome These Master Auto Glass Technicians
A number of auto glass technicians passed the Auto Glass Safety Council™’s (AGSC) Master Auto Glass Technician certification exam during the month of September. The exam is an online test consisting of 70 multiple choice questions. Those who apply to become Master Auto Glass Technicians must have experience and knowledge in: OSHA-required employee safety regulations; conducting all installations according to the current ANSI/AGSC/AGRSS™ Standard.

The winners of the Pilkington Clear Advantage Auto Glass Technician Competition (AGTO) were named earlier this month in West Palm Beach, Fla., where Auto Glass Week™ was held. Leading the circle of winners were two AGSC Master Technicians and an AGSC Certified Technician.
