AGSC Members Invited to Private Breakfast with Management Expert Jack Welch
The Auto Glass Safety Council™ (AGSC) will hold its annual member meeting on Tuesday, September 29, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa in Reno, Nev. The meeting will be held just before Auto Glass Week™ opens with the First Annual Industry Golf Tournament that afternoon. AGSC members also are invited to a private breakfast with world-renowned management expert Jack Welch on Friday, October 2, from 7 a.m. to 7:45 a.m.

AGSC Creates Back-to-School Advisory for Registered Members’ Use
The Auto Glass Safety Council™ (AGSC) has added a back-to-school advisory to the “Members Only” portion of its website. The back-to-school advisory is available for AGSC Registered Members to download, customize with their company’s information, and send to their local press and media outlets. The advisory addresses ways consumers can take care of their windshields amid the increases in bus traffic, need for additional visibility and more.

The New ANSI/AGSC/AGRSS™ Standard 003-2015
“As many of you already know, the ANSI/AGSC/AGRSS™ Standard 003-2015 has been revised and edited to meet the new issues that affect our industry. The official new name is ANSI/AGSC/AGRSS™ Standard 003-2015. The 003 is the third version accepted by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and 2015 is the year it was accepted and published. As the chairman of the Auto Glass Safety Council™ Standards Committee, I thought that I would explain, in the coming weeks, the wording and meaning behind some of the current changes. I may even try to translate some of the legalese that creeps into the language of a meaningful document like this one.” –Bob Beranek

Welcome These Certified Master Auto Glass Technicians
A number of auto glass technicians passed the Auto Glass Safety Council™’s (AGSC) Certified Master Auto Glass Technician certification exam during the month of July. The exam is an online test consisting of 50 multiple choice questions. Those who apply to become Accredited Master Auto Glass Technicians must have experience and knowledge in: OSHA-required employee safety regulations; conducting installations according to the current ANSI/AGSC/AGRSS™ Standard; intermediate-level automotive electrical testing and troubleshooting procedures and equipment; OEM sunroof repair and replacement techniques; advanced wind noise and water leak diagnosis and repair; and current standards and regulations that apply to the auto glass industry.
