Tompkins, Beranek Elected to AGRSS Council Board of Directors
Carl Tompkins and Bob Beranek have been elected to the board of directors of the Automotive Glass Replacement Safety Standards Council (AGRSS). The election was held at the Council's recent meeting in Minneapolis.
Tompkins is the western states area manager and national AGR special programs manager for Sika Corp. of Madison Heights, Mich. and currently serves as chairperson of the AGRSS accreditation committee. Beranek is president of Automotive Glass Consultants of Sun Prairie, Wis. and serves as chairperson of the AGRSS audit committee.
The Automotive Glass Replacement Safety Standards Council, Inc., is a not-for-profit organization dedicated solely to the safe replacement of auto glass. AGRSS was founded and is supported by companies in the auto glass replacement industry that have safe installation as their primary goal.
AGRSS is an accredited American National Standards Institute (ANSI)-standards development organization. It has developed the world's only auto glass replacement safety standard, the AGRSS standard (ANSI/AGRSS 002-2002 Automotive Glass Replacement Safety Standard). The AGRSS Standard addresses procedures, education and product performance.
