Glass America Meets Milestone
with Certified Technicians

Winnipeg, Manitoba—Glass America, based in Elmhurst, Ill., has announced that all of its technicians have become certified with the Auto Glass Safety Council™ (AGSC). This includes more than 300 technicians, with the exception of its newest hires.

The AGSC’s General Auto Glass Technician certification examination is an online examination consisting of 70 multiple choice questions, allowing an average of 90 seconds per question to answer. Requirements include knowledge of the AGRSS™ Standard, OSHA regulations, all types of auto glass replacement, and NAGS.

“Glass America has been extremely proactive throughout this process," says Vinny LaMarco, certifications director for AGSC. "Robbie Price and his management team have kept in regular contact with AGSC this past year to ensure compliance with the harmonization initiative, and ensured their technicians were certified prior to the required deadline.”

As part of the AGSC's harmonization of its Registration and Certification programs, technicians at all Registered Member Companies are required to become certified by AGSC by December 31, 2018.

"Glass America is committed to safe auto glass installations and to following the AGRSS™ Standard on every job," says Robbie Price, director of business support for Glass America.
